A weekend in the country

I just got back to the city after the most lovely weekend in the country at my Mum's gorgeous farm. It was so nice to be back in the country and to see my Mummy! We had a great mother-daughter day on Sunday, checking out the local markets (where I got bags of limes, lemons, potatoes, onions and a butternut pumpkin all for $6), having lunch in the park, buying material for Mum's latest sewing adventure, and even making plum jam! On Saturday, I took the boyfriend up to the Chocolate Cottage in Highfields. It was such a gorgeous day, a little bit chilly but nice and sunny, up on the hill looking out, surrounded by choccies! Plus I got to sit in Mum's beautiful claw-foot bath every night. I left with my own jar of plum jam (for scones later) AND my Mum's old, dusty "Speedwell Classique" - me & the boyfriend's latest refurb project (more on that to come).

Mummy! In this one sitting we had wine, coffee, turkish bread & dips, AND cake.
